Summary: The new Advance AcroBatt™ cordless backpack vacuum is designed to eliminate the inconvenience of long extension cords when cleaning remote areas such as long hallways, elevators and stairwells. The new Advance AcroBatt™ cordless backpack vacuum is designed to eliminate the inconvenience of long extension cords when cleaning remote areas such as long hallways, elevators and stairwells. The AcroBatt vacuum is ideally suited for cleaning in large retail environments, schools, hospitals, airports and commercial office buildings where outlets may not always be convenient. With over 22 minutes of cleaning power per battery charge and weighing only 17.6 pounds with its batteries, the AcroBatt vacuum is also quiet and features a heavy-duty padded waist belt for maximum operator comfort. “Cleaning often requires a lot of repetitive motions and the AcroBatt vacuum was ergonomically designed to be light, flexible and easy to handle,” says Sara Thurston, Advance brand manager. “The unit’s canister features a patented articulated joint that bends and flexes with the operator to offer a wider range of motion than similar cordless vacuums. This reduces operator fatigue and increases productivity by making it easier to reach into high corners, deep shelving or around obstacles.” The AcroBatt has a 4 ft. tapered hose with bent wand that is comfortable and lightweight. The wand features a valve to control suction when cleaning delicate surfaces. The combination floor tool has a 12 inch cleaning path. The power for the AcroBatt vacuum comes from two maintenance-free 60Vdc nickel metal hydride batteries. Packing high power for their weight, these batteries maximize cleaning time per charge and recharge in only 75 minutes. The battery charger features “smart” technology that extends battery life by monitoring battery voltage and temperature to prevent over-charging. With 22 minutes of cleaning power, the AcroBatt vacuum can clean approximately 30,000 square feet before recharging. The AcroBatt vacuum has a powerful 450 watt motor and two levels of filtration. Designed for optimum operator comfort, the vacuum’s dual battery system is located near the operator’s center of gravity for proper balance and safety. The support harness and belt are well padded, and a unique lower ventilated panel insulates the operator from the heat of the motor compartment to minimize discomfort. The sound level is 68 dB (A).
